Block of the Month
Starts January 2010

As we approach the 150-year commemoration of the American Civil War in 2011, Marcus Fabrics and Judie Rothermel are partnering to create a very special block of the month program to run during 2010. The quilt features Marcus' CIVIL WAR TRIBUTE COLLECTION designed by Judie Rothermel, based on classic quilt blocks and variations. The result is a beautifully detailed quilt measuring a generous 100" x 112".

The Civil War Tribute quilt highlights a variety of sawtooth and star blocks, the perfect showcase for 48 of the collection's 50 prints. Each of the quilt blocks represents a major battle fought during the war.

Civil War Tribute Collection Block of the Month is a 12 month commentment. Civil War Tribute Block of the Month will run from January 2010 to December 2010. With your first block being shipped January 2010.

Monthly patterns will include the following:

1. Detailed cutting and piecing instructions to make the blocks needed for that month.

2. Historical notes about key battles in the Civil War including source material and quotations from prestigious university libraries including Duke University, Notre Dame and others.

3. A swatch chart so you can identify the fabrics used in the blocks.

Price for each month (1 through 12) is $22.95 plus shipping. You will recieve generous cuts of fabric to make the block sections each month.

There will be no finishing kits.

FABRIC FOR BACKING IS SOLD SEPARATELY.

Note: If you choose to use a fabric 44"-45" from Civil War Tribute Collections 9 3/4 yards is needed for backing. Please list fabric item # selection in COMMENT SECTION.

We have 4 backing fabrics available. Quilt will require 3.5 yards of 108" backing fabric. Fabrics are all from the Marcus Line Basic Backs: Civil War Tribute.

Kit includes all fabric for top, binding and patterns.
Kit does not include batting or backing.

You will be put on automatic shipment with the block being mailed by the 15th of each month.

Shipping will be priority mail.

Feel free to order other items to add to your monthly order. We will add as much to the package as will fit.

U.S. shipping is $4.95 per month.
Canada shipping is $10.95 per month.
International shipping is $12.95 per month.
